| So, after a lot of people asked more or less the same things, I think it's time to write my FAQs. Which lens do you use for your macros? My oldest macros have been shot with a 18-55 zoom plus additional close-up lenses, then I bought a 50mm f1.4 lens which I've been using instead of 18-55. Yes, also my snowflake photos! In the end, I bought a 100mm macro lens; but I don't only use it for macros! How do you take your bird photographs? I've always been shooting with a 70-300 zoom lens even though I wish a 100-400 zoom; once I used a non-stabilized Sigma, then I changed it with a stabilized lens, Canon version. But the secret is not only a telezoom...you have to be able to get close to birds, and listen to them! Hide into the bushesand and crawl on the ground!! Are all those pets yours? Not all of them! Some belong to friends or relatives of mine, and some are just guys I met on the street. Mine are some Cats, the Chinchilla, the Goldfinch and I do also have some Dogs. How do you get those colours in the photos? I don't edit all my photos in the same way; I prefer curves (mostly created by myself) and color balance, but each photo requires different steps. I do also use Camera Raw for basic adjustments e.g. contrast, sharpness... But I'm not going to reveal my secrets!! Did you study Art? Yep. I've been studying photography at my city's art academy and my last lesson has been in june 2012; I graduated in march 2013. I've been working in a fashion photo studio from june 2012 to february 2013, and now I help an event Photographer (since march 2013) and also work as freelance, but I keep on taking nature shots in my free time. |
